So its the end of day one and beginning of a long road.

I won the old girl on ebay and turned up to find her in a much worse condition than I had thought but after a brief renegotiation and a journey on a transporter we got her home to West Sussex.

Her history is sadly one of neglect, she has sat for 16 years unused under an old ladies lean to in Essex. This was until the chaps at Motorvation in Dagenham found her, they got her to their yard but with so many other projects on the go they stuck her on ebay for me to win :-)

Well we nearly had her running today but discovered a leak in the tank and a new fuel line is needed so had to stop that for now.

As you can see from the pics below I have now taken the seats and most of the dash  already to reveal what me and my welder really have to deal with and it does not look good, the front spring hangers are holding on by a string sized piece of rust, the cab floor has more holes than Al Capones car and the bulkhead need 2 large holes welding,
the doors need lower parts welding in and the passenger wing is a gonna.

But there is hope the body is solid and watertight just needs a few minor repairs to outer sealing strips, the chassis is un rusted and solid plus the engine is not seized and the bonnet and drivers wing can be saved I am told Woo Hoo!

There are a few companies that are still doing bits and will list those on a separate page for you all and I also insured her for the princely sum of £217 per year from the lovely chaps at Adrian Flux Classics.

Well I am off part hunting for a few days now so will keep you all posted.

Thanks for reading.

James.
